Addison Hestermann was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) on March 20, 2012. While Addie and her family were ready for the fight of their lives, she unfortunately succumbed to this aggressive form of leukemia on March 26, 2012, just two days before her 10th birthday.
While her time on earth was short, the way Addie lived her life has left an indelible mark on those who knew her. She was a friend to all - especially animals. Through the good works of others, Addie's spirit of giving lives on.
This website celebrates those who choose to live more, give more, and love more. Like Addie.
Happy Birthday, Addie!
In honor of Addie's birthday, we invite you to make someone else's day a little bit brighter by performing a Random Act of Kindness on March 28.
It doesn't have to be a grand gesture. It doesn't have to cost a dime. A smile goes a long way. So does holding a door. Or writing a note that says I appreciate having you in my life.
Addie enjoyed making other people feel good because it made her feel good.
It's guaranteed to make you feel good too.
There are some who bring a light so great into the world that even after they are gone, that light remains.
Live. Give. Love.
