Live Like Addie Run

The first annual Live Like Addie 5K run and 1-mile walk is scheduled for Saturday, March 30. Registration begins at 8 a.m. with the run beginning at 9 a.m. Proceeds from the event will benefit the City of Syracuse Playground Equipment Project and Children’s Hospital and Medical Center. You need not be a runner to participate. Walkers are definitely welcome! To download a registration form, click here.

Meet Addie



Addison Hestermann was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) on March 20, 2012. While Addie and her family were ready for the fight of their lives, she unfortunately succumbed to this aggressive form of leukemia on March 26, just two days before her 10th birthday.
While her time on earth was short, the way Addie lived her life has left an indelible mark on those who knew her.  She was a friend to all - especially animals.
Through the good works of others, Addie's spirit of giving lives on. This website celebrates those who choose to live more, give more, and love more. Like Addie.
